There is poem that I believe was written by Dylan Thomas. The story is about death. It talks about a woman that passes away. In the story her wake is set to the theme of a ship getting ready for a long journey. The woman is standing on the side of the ship waving to all the loved ones that she is leaving behind. They are all crying, knowing this is the last they will ever see each other. The ship sails away. As the ship crosses the horizon and out of view of the shore, she begins to notice strangers waving to her and cheering as the ship gets closer to the other shore. When the ship is close enough she notices these people are not strangers at all. They are all her relatives and friends that have passed away, greeting her into heaven. Leading the cheers are the woman’s grandfather. For me the vision is my father standing there waiting to carry Samantha off the ship.

well now u r at rest samantha things still dont seem right without u here,i am so sorry i wasnt at ur funeral 2day i really couldnt face sayin goodbye to such a wonderful person,i am heartbroking just cant come to terms with losing u so cant even imagine what ur family must be feeling but i hope they kno that they r in everyones thoughts and prayers watch over samantha but until i see u again on the other side sleep tight angel sweet dreams R.I.P
